What We Handle

Regular maintenance is what keeps an outboard reliable season after season. Here is what our techs check and service most often.

Oil and Filter Changes

Fresh oil and a clean filter protect internal components and keep the engine running smoothly.

Lower Unit Gear Lube

Checked and changed to prevent water intrusion and protect the gears inside the lower unit.

Water Pump and Impeller

A worn impeller is one of the top causes of overheating, so we check it as part of routine service.

Spark Plugs and Ignition

Worn plugs and ignition issues cause hard starts and rough running, and are easy to catch early.

Fuel System Checks

Fuel lines, filters, and connections inspected to keep the engine getting clean fuel on demand.

Prop and Skeg Inspection

Dings and wear on the prop or skeg affect performance and are checked at every service visit.

Questions

Outboard Service FAQ

Does my outboard have to be a brand you sell?

No. We service whatever make or brand of outboard, inboard, or boat you have, not just Avalon, Sea Fox, Suzuki, Yamaha, and Mercury.

Do you handle warranty work and recalls?

Yes. We honor all warranty work and recalls in addition to routine maintenance and repairs.

How often should I have my outboard serviced?

Most manufacturers recommend at least one full service each year, with more frequent checks if you run your boat hard or put on a lot of hours in a season. Your owner's manual will have the exact interval for your engine.
